College football: Bearcats are talk of town after 6-0 start

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

The public, alumni and student body used to have such disinterest in University of Cincinnati football that Nippert Stadium might as well have been the largest college intramural facility in the country.
Despite six bowl appearances from 1997 through last season, the Bearcats played in front of more empty seats than paying customers in the double-decked, 35,000-seat bowl of a ballpark.
