Lots of folks played in this year's first LoTwo Pick'em...53 by my count. Before I announce our winners, a couple neat facts:
Although the composite game scores (average of everyone's guesses) for the Wazzu/Wiscy (32-15 Wiscy) and Tenn/Cal (26-24 Cal) games were pretty far off from the actual finals, the one for YSU/OSU was very close (41-7).
We also had two perfect guesses for game final scores...both Piney and briegg guessed 38-6 for the YSU/OSU game. As we'll see, those played heavily in determining the winners.
We also had two folks who correctly guessed the final score of two teams (these also figured huge in determining winners): jenkinswoody guessed YSU's score of 6 and WSU's score of 21; bukIpower guessed Wisconsin's score of 42 and Tennessee's score of 31.
Lastly, these folks guessed one team's final score: Deety, starBUCKS, Best Buckeye, gregorylee, Brutus654, mjwohio, ctheado, Smooth Olaf, bkockmc, BB73, holybuckeye33, FCollinsBuckeye, wdg01, and AKAKBUCK.
OK, on to the winners for this week:
First place: briegg (22 points: 47 points differential with a -25 bonus for his perfect YSU/OSU score)
Second place (tie): Piney (30 points: 55 points differential with a -25 bonus for his perfect YSU/OSU score), and jenkinswoody (30 points: 40 points differential with a -5 bonus for his YSU score and -5 bonus for his WSU score)
Third place: bukIpower (32 points: 42 points differential with a -5 bonus for his Wiscy score and -5 bonus for his Tennessee score)
