Los Angeles Lakers (17x NBA Champions)

I would have assumed that Kermit Washington would have had the longest suspension ever in the NBA for his sucker punch that almost killed Rudy Tomjanovich, but upon doing a quick search, Washington was suspended for 26 games, which was a record at the time.

With regards to Bynum, 5 games seems like an appropriate suspension.

Maybe if he had done it only once, and showed (genuine) remorse, 5 games would be appropriate. But he has done it at least twice this season, and has done the exact same move over the last 3 seasons. It is obvious that he has no regard for the safety of his fellow players, or the rules. He will continue to do it, this is no deterrent, its equal to a 5 year old punching a professional boxer.

As a Laker fan i really do like the hire. I think we could be a lot better if we had a more defensive minded coach, like Brown. Also, Brown took the Cavs to the Finals with basically LeBron and no supporting cast...i'm sure he can put something great together with another star (Kobe) and a great support cast. It's sad to see Phil leave, but i think it's a good change for the team and franchise.
