This article by Bill Plaschke of LA Times hits the whole situation right on the head.

Here's his final paragraph.

"The good news about the Chargers’ move is that nobody will have to spend much money on a welcome parade. It will be a short one. There will be one limo carrying Spanos and one Brink’s truck carrying his loot, both moving hurriedly up that freeway ahead of the muffled San Diego cries, all of Los Angeles peering briefly out the windows before closing their blinds."

Yeah, they started in LA back in 1960 and left after 1 year. It's too bad they couldn't work out the stadium thing in San Diego.

I wish the Raiders had got together with the 49ers like the Jets did with the Giants, but I suspect Las Vegas Raiders will be the next change. I guess if any team moves to Vegas, it should be the Raiders.

No way ... I think Cowherd is on the money on this... Raiders are by far the most popular team in LA... if they move to vegas... rams/charger games will likely be half empty because of the closeness of the Raiders... I dont see any way the NFL does that to Kroenke

Well, it wouldn't be the first time a guy named Davis said "screw you" and moved the Raiders anyway. But I'd prefer they remain in Oakland.

The NFL doesn't care nearly as much about attendance anymore...it is TV revenue and stadiums financed by the taxpayers. I can actually see them sticking it up Kroenkes ass, and fairly quickly
