Just nearing the final few weeks of the Pro season, all the college games are done.
My mind moves forward in planning mode - to the BP Mock Draft.
That was fun last year - and there was some discussion near the end of how to improve the working of the process.
I cannot remember all the ideas that were proposed but here is what I do recall being suggested:
Have more than one "Paul Tagliabue" - after all even Paul gets a break after the 1st couple of rounds in real life.
Make a short list of selections for your drafting position (e.g. 3rd pick 1st round). Say 3 players for that pick point. That way if your pick goes your backup pick is loaded and ready to rumble. PM that list to Commish and his back-up.
(If we were to use that short-list method then you could also set a time limit for all picks in that round to be PM'd in - The commish then feeds them out and wrangles any issues with all 3 candidates gone from the pick list as the round progresses).
OK - short list of potential improvements I recall.
Any thoughts from others would be welcomed.
