So, basically, it looks like from here on out every QB that isn't handed the following season's starting job is just gonna toss their name in this portal thingie?

I posted this elsewhere but will say it again. QBs should be given special consideration in regards to transfer.

QB is a unique position. It is the only position on the team where a single player (short of punters and place kickers) can keep you off the field for virtually all meaningful reps. Every other position group has either multiple spots or does rotations.

I recall Ron Maciejewski playing behind Rex Kern for four years. Got to play a bit when Kern was injured or during blow outs, but actually ended up playing a year or two in the NFL. But that was before multi-million dollar contracts and combines.

We live in an era where CFB for the elite is an audition for the NFL. Everyone deserves a shot.
