Which Week Seems Longest?

I said the week before the bowl game.

The longest many months are before the opener, but by the time I get to the last week it seems so close, after all the waiting, that it isn't so bad.

My problem this week: my wife wants to use the three day weekend to go upstate. Nooo!!! She said we could go to a sports bar on Saturday, but so much could go wrong. Also, as this is the first game of the year, I really want to be able to analyze the players and rewind/fast forward etc. all day, and watch games all day rather than just ours.

I am very upset. I am thinking of faking a sprained ankle. . .

you should defer to FKA, he has the market on excuses... I'm sure he can think of something for you to use...

THIS WEEK IS MORE THAN DRAGGING!!!!!!!!!! C'mon on already...

Okay, so I appreciate everyone's support.

My co-worker gave me a graphic of Ernesto's trajectory, and it showed that Ernesto will end up over upstate New York, exactly, through Saturday and Sunday and will create driving rain both of those days.

Perfect.

I showed my wife, and I explained to her with a tear in my eye that unfortunately we would be unable to travel upstate this weekend. Woot!

Anyway, my wife, apparently sensing my diabolical scheme, replies that that is fine, agrees with my plans to do fun stuff on Sunday and Monday in the City, and then explains that we will just have to travel someplace else. Doh!!!

I seriously hope, and do think, that she was just messing with me and knows that I will have an excuse for any travel plans. We'll see though. . .

(I also sent her a chart showing that we get, and this is true, freaking North Carolina vs. Rutgers in the Northeast. She, unfortunately, was aware of the existence of satellite near vacation spots, however. . .)

edit: god damn buckeyeryn you have a ton of gifts.

Kinch, where do the Buckeye alums congregate down there? The Boston group will be near Fenway (a place called Game On on Lansdowne St.). Come on up! Fung Wa bus $25 ! :)

I said the week before the Bowl game.

Christmas always comes fast and furious for me, and since I turned 25 the birthdays just come faster and faster.

Although, to be honest the week before the kids go back to school seems to be slowing down.

The week before the opener. This week. The week I am suffering through right now.

First, school isn't in session, so you're not constantly bombarded with Buckeye football (that and I'm stuck in Cincinnati). And, like the past two years, I'm in the final week of my internship. I have completely checked out - yet I have to write up my final reports and do a final presentation for the bosses (which is tomorrow...GOD why can't it be over!). So, combine the anxiety of wanting work to end, and football to begin, and you have a situation that really sucks. Not to mention, there is nothing to talk about in terms of football because its still the off season.

This year is extra worse because this time next week I'll be on a plane flying to Austin.
