Minnesota beat Michigan nine straight years from 1934 thorugh 1942. Only two other teams have a five-game win streak against Michigan, and those were Army from 1945-1954 (didn't play every year, obviously), and Purdue from 1962-1966. Five teams have four-game win streaks: Illinois (1950-1953); Michigan State (3 times, 1934-1937, 1950-1953, and 1959-1962); Minnesota (1960-1963); Notre Dame (1987-1990); and Ohio State (3 times, 1934-1937, 1960-1963, 2004-2007).

Note: Cornell actually has seven-game win streak, but that was 1889-1894, with multiple game played in 1891 and 1892. I think the game had changed significantly from the last of those Cornell wins to the earliest of any of the wins previously mentioned, so I don't include Cornell's streak.
Now solely in second place with our current eight-game winning streak. Depending on current events, should The Game be played this year we should end up matching Minnesota's nine-game win streak.

The longest streak without a loss to Michigan is 10 games by Minnesota, who went 9-0-1 against Michigan in 1933-1942 (they had a tie prior to their nine-game win streak). Second is Michigan State at eight games, going 6-0-2 from 1956-1963.
Our current winning streak has us tied with Sparty for #2 right now. Again, should The Game be played this season, we should move ahead of Sparty here.

The longest streak with only one loss to Michigan is 12 games by Michigan State, who went 9-1-2 against them from 1956-1967. Since Minnesota's aforementioned 9-0-1 unbeaten string is bookended by losses, you could give them two 11-game streaks of one-loss (9-1-1 from 1932-1942 and 1933-1943).
Our current 15-1 record since 2004 obliterates these previous records. If you would've told me back when I started this thread that once we entered the year 2020 we'd be 15-1 since 2004 with seven- and eight-game streaks, even with my brightest scarlet-colored glasses on I would not have believed it. Nor would I have believed that the streak would contain games where we scored 62 and 56 points in consecutive games.

I'll be happy if we make it 9 wins in a row. scUM won 9 in a row against us at the turn of the last century.

Fuck...
You may just get your wish this year...

Against Meatchicken, just want to get the entire series leaning to the Buckeye side. Their incredible 1800's streak (must have been with the military kids there), is the only thing that is keeping them ahead of the Buckeyes. Once we overcome that, I can go to my grave smiling.....go Buckeyes!
