Hart was out last weeks game and can't you read. Wells has had ankle problems from spring pracice

The question was who would I want for a game-winning drive, and Hart was (and still is) the more proven feature back. It wasn't who I wanted representing my team, who I wanted for years to come (as he continues to improve), or who I'd would actually choose as a coach on principle alone. If I were a bandwagon fan, I would crown Beanie as a future heisman winner before he arrived on campus. If you look at the rest of my posts today (and for months), you'll see my distinct dislike for Mr. Hart.

I was thrilled to see Beanie take the next step towards becoming a legend. That may have been his best game, and best display of speed and power. However, it was his resolve to play through adversity (sickness, injury) that was truly impressive. Not just the long runs, but the carry up the gut where he nearly broke free after encountering and/or carrying half the defense. You could sense his silent determination, demanding the football to carry his team out of that challenge.

.:Brutus:. hit the nail on the head, what a refreshing attitude to possess such freakish talent and share and/or redirect the spotlight to your teammates.

I am glad OSU has Beanie as their feature back, and for all the reasons listed above, I would not trade him.

your right about that. Our mothers work together and he screwed it up again playing basketball before, spring practice. I remember when I played basketball and landing on someones foot. I was wishing I broke it but, that pain lasted for over a year and he has to run like that.

Yeah I forgot Hart's been 100% every single game and didn't miss two of the weaker run Ds in the conference. What? He has been hurt and missed Illinois and Minnesota and has also played only one half vs. Purdue and MSU? Whoops.

Beanie's had a bum ankle all year and had just 4 carries against Kent St. You can't pull the injury excuse.

I don't recall trying to pull the injury excuse. Whoever it was tried to play the injury card for Beanie, and I'm sorry, you can't use it either when comparing the two.

Bottom line, I think both are excellent running backs and I'd love to have them on my team any day. Wells is more of your prototypical RB, someone you'd build if you were building the perfect back. I mean, 6'1, 230, 4.45 speed are you kidding me? That's a tank, and he doesn't shy away from contact.

Hart's everything you wouldn't build as a prototype. 5'9, 200 lbs, 4.5-4.6 speed. But he does everything else very well. Superb pass blocker, great balance, vision etc....

You can't go wrong with either back and I think debating them is essentially pointless as they're both superstars.

Yay for excuses!!!!

More yards only because he has more carries, Mr. Wizard. Give Wells the same number of carries and he has more yards and 1 less touchdown. Making a post saying someone has better stats without providing some backup, like a Link or something, is the idiocy- especially when your post turns out to be wrong.

edit: Not saying Well's stats are better, just saying Hart's clearly aren't.
