Live NFL 2006 Draft Coverage (official thread)

Kudla

I just e-mailed the Lions and told them to PLEASE take Kudla if he is still available for their 7th round pick.

Holy crap I cannot believe any scouts could watch the Fiesta Bowl and not want Kudla.

At least I know that if no one drafts him, he will free agent somewhere and knock 'em dead.

I feel this is now the second draft to have one of OSU outstanding DE's not get a draft. Simon Fraser was looked over and is now with the Brownies, however, it would have been nice to see his name on the draft ticker board.

C'mon....Someone take Kudla!

PS. What waas with 2 other Kickers going before Huston? GM's worried that only 1 year isnt worth the risk? If you are goign to take Cromardi, who only started 1 game in like 3 years, you have a better chance with Huston!

Maybe they'll take Kudla in round 7...

I think they really needed new blood on D, and on the OL, so strategy-wise, I like it for them. The players, well, that's harder to say in a couple of cases, but taking the DT and the DBs was a good move, considering the plummet the D took last year.

I wanna send out a HUGE congrats to my former Whitehall Ram and friend Dom Hixon who was drafted today in the 4th to the Broncos!

He had a nice career, made the winning TD catch (while sick/injured) to send Akron to their first ever bowl game! Now he maybe will make a few TD grabs in the pros. Way to go Dom, were all very proud.

i will def agree on that one...i am not upset that they took him as much as i am that they traded up to get him adn by doing that wasted a pick......we could have had him in the second or even third(stretch) but i guess marv really liked him...in marv we trust(or i do at least)

Well, according to the NFL Draft ticker, there are only a few DE's left to choose from. All bias aside, I would say without hesitation that Kudla is the best left and is a damn steal about now. Only person that would come close is Stanley McClover out of Auburn.
