Asking this question is probably like talking about Fight Club, .... but my points went down last night. I don't see that anyone gave me negative rep. What's that all about?

Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
Someone could have stolen it. There is a "thief" option in the "vbPlazaMenu" where people can try to steal other people's money (i.e. points or vDollars).

Click this icon on someone's post to give them positive/negative reputation. The amount you will give is relative to YOUR reputation totals. The more rep points YOU have the more you will give. If these icons are red, then your reputation level is negative. If these are gray, your reputation is zero (or near there) OR you have disabled the reputation system. You will not be able to give rep points if your level is zero or negative.
Click this icon on someone's post to report THAT post as 'bad'. The report will be sent to all moderators of that particular forum. They will then look into the reported post and decide if further action is needed.
These icons are a simple bar chart showing positive reputation. The more you display, the greater your positive reputation.
These icons are used once the reputation bar chart is maxed out. Max out the bar chart and you'll get one of these and you will start the bar chart over again. Max out the bar chart a second time and you'll get another one of these. Repeat as often as possible.\
This icon (cookie) is one of many different 'gifts'. You can give gifts (you purchase them in the vbPlaza Menu > Give Gifts) to any member (even yourself if you're that shallow) as a 'reward' for something you appreciated.
This icon (childhood cancer) is one of many different 'ribbons'. You can give ribbons (you purchase them in the vbPlaza Menu > Give Gifts) to any member, but usually you buy them for yourself ... since only you know what type of cause you support.
This icon (Ohio State) is one of many sports team logos you can purchase. You can purchase these logos for yourself (you purchase them in the vbPlaza Menu > vbPlaza Main > Sports Teams). Once in this area you may purchase logos for: MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, NASCAR, Premier League, NCAA Schools, MLS and FIFA ... but only one for each category will be displayed.
This icon (Yahoo) is one of many different "IM" (instant message) logos you may specify for Instant Message networks you are a part of. (UserCP > Edit Profile > Optional Information > Instant Messaging)
These icons (Gold Medal) are from the Award system. They can only be given by the staff and are usually for taking part in a fundraising drive. Currently the Award System is down. There are several other "awards:
Rival Fan - Given upon request to signify rival fan affiliation
Competition - Given to winners of different competions within our membership
POINTS: Points are accumulated thru posts, threads, replies, positive rep, interest, referrals, vBets, theft, donation, and a number of other ways. Generally, the more active you are, the quicker you accumulate points. You may also lose points thru, negative rep, theft, playing the arcade, purchasing items, etc.
Currently, any actual monetary donation to BuckeyePlanet (that is not earmarked for merchandise like t-shirts, etc.) will be rewarded with a 1,000 to 1 ratio of vCash. Donate 10 dollars and get 10,000 in vCash. Donate 50 dollars, get 50,000 vCash, etc.
That's the basics. The rest you learn as you go.
