Our Linkback/Refback/Pingback system is new. For information about it, scroll to the bottom of this (or any post or thread), and in the Posting Rules box, click on any of those terms.
That aside, check out some of the "reviews" of BP that came in today;
From Syracuse fans:
SyracuseFan.com Forums
"As much as it pains me to say this, after reading a good portion of the thread, I like Ohio State fans a little bit more."
"Wow I'm surprised at how cool those OSU fans were. They really do know their stuff."
I've seen similar comments on sites focused on other programs, including Michigan. It will be fun to watch as more linkbacks come in. When they do, they always appear as links at the bottom of the posts referenced on the other sites. Goebel is an example, PA recruiting, Dan McCarthy sees a thread on IrishEnvy where Ant80 is trying to talk sense to the senseless, DeShawn Thomas, Storm Klein, etc. For each I approve (they require moderation to appear) there are 9 that I delete or ignore -- but I'm excited about this new addition in as much as it will let us know who is talking about us, or what we're talking about -- and when. That's the sort of information connectivity that excites me about the direction and still untapped potential of the net.
BP in many ways is exactly what I hoped and believed it could be, and I'm just cocky enough to say that I think our approach is an example of recruiting coverage and discourse "done right". All credit to those who create and enrich those discussions and the format, with special regard to all those (present and past) instrumental in turning a philosophy into a functional area of the site. Maybe it's silly to take pride in seeing BP quite literally force fans of other programs to see Buckeyes in a different and entirely positive light, but I do nonetheless.
