So how do you explain all of those consecutive sell-outs they had when the Jake opened?
B/c by your ridiculous reasoning, those fans didn't have the money to attend.
And don't give me this lame excuse that now since the Cavs are in town, people go there instead.
1) that was TEN years ago... the economy has gone down considerably since then.
2) the consecutive sellout streak lasted for like 5 years... mostly when the Cavs were gawdawful, and there was no football...
3) the Cavs SUCKED back then... i went to a few Cavs games back then, and the attendance was terrible... there were people in the upper level, but the lower level was a ghost town... there were no sellouts back then like there are now... except for when the Bulls came to town...
4) Art Modell moved the Browns to Baltimore... did you catch that? no one was spending money on Football, because there WAS NO FOOTBALL... there was a lot of money that would usually been spent on football that went to the Tribe instead...
5) not to mention the fact that the Tribe's new owner sold off the team, and started over... that turned some people off, me included... i understand that the new owner wants to build the team the right way, and i think he is, and i appreciate and respect that, but i simply don't like to waste my money on a bad product...
are you playing Devil's Advocate? or are you just ignorant of the situation in Cleveland? i see you're in R.I. did you grow up in NEO? do you have ANY idea what you are talking about?
