Todays dispatch article on JR's leaving early for the NFL.

The list:
2007 - Ted Ginn Jr., WR, (first round to Miami); Antonio Pittman, RB, (fourth round to New Orleans); Anthony Gonzalez, WR, (first round to Indianapolis)
2006 - Santonio Holmes, WR, (first round to Pittsburgh); Donte Whitner, S, (first round to Buffalo); Ashton Youboty, CB, (third round to Buffalo)
2005 - Maurice Clarett, RB, (third round to Denver)
2004 - Chris Gamble, CB, (first round to Carolina)
2002 - Derek Ross, CB, (third round to Dallas); Darnell Sanders, TE, (fourth round to Cleveland)
2001 - Nate Clements, CB, (first round to Buffalo); Ryan Pickett, DT, (first round to St. Louis)
2000 - Na'il Diggs, LB, (fourth round to Green Bay)
1999 - David Boston, WR, (first round to Arizona); Andy Katzenmoyer, LB, (first round to New England)
1997 - Orlando Pace, OL, (first round to St. Louis); Shawn Springs, CB, (first round to Seattle); Nicky Sualua, FB, (fourth round to Dallas)
1996 - Terry Glenn, WR, (first round to New England)
1995 - Korey Stringer, OL, (first round to Minnesota); Craig Powell, LB, (first round to Cleveland); Lorenzo Styles, LB, (third round to Atlanta)
1994 - Dan Wilkinson, DT, (first round to Cincinnati)
1993 - Robert Smith, RB, (first round to Minnesota); Roger Harper, S, (second round to Atlanta)
1992 - Alonzo Spellman, DT, (first round to Chicago)

I know Coop would have probably still found a way to screw it up but imagine if Stringer, Powell and Styles stay for the '95 team. Man oh man what a team that would have been.

OT's: Pace and Stringer
TE: Rickey Dudley
FB: Sualua
TB: Eddie George
WR's: Terry Glenn and Buster Tillman
QB: Bobby Hoying

Thats not just future NFL players all over the offense, thats a future Pro Bowl team.

DT:Matt Bonhhaus and Luke Fickell
DE: Vrabel and Finkes
LB: could have been Greg Bellisari, Powell and Styles
DB's: Shawn Springs, Rob Kelly, Ty Howard and Anthony Gwinn.

That would have been one of the most experienced and talented front 7's we've ever fielded. I'd be willing to wager we never hear of Beeatchibatuka.

No real meaning to the post, just some fantasy land time on a boring day.

I wonder what our offense would have looked like this year if Ginn and Gonzo stayed. We didn't really need them, but it would have made things interesting. I wonder if, knowing the talent coming back at WR, they would have asked Boeckman, or even Beanie, to do less.

A boring day? There's a college football bowl game today!!

That matchup of 6-6 Colorado vs. 6-6 Alabama should get anybody pumped up!!

I can see it now, 30 years from now I will be sitting on my couch, rambling off nonsense like Best Buckeye and telling my kids about the time I saw two 500 teams battle for supremacy in late December, And they will look at me, then steal my Hanna Montana CD's :)

What if Boston College didn't suck so that they would have beaten either FSU or Maryland along with winning the ACC money-grab-game, do you think the SEC would have had their collective coronary yet??

Indeed.

Always fun to watch a lower tier SEC school in a Bowl game knowing that they are so good they would probably win the B10/ACC/B12/Pac 10.

So Bama lost to a 6-6 LA Monroe team, at home, that finished 3rd in the Sun Belt conference. It was obviously because they were so beat up from SEC play.

Just look a the display of awsomness put on by Mississippi State yesterday. Just because east Carolina and South Florida put a combined 116 points on UCF doesn't mean the 10 points from MSU off of 5 UCF turnovers wasn't an impressive display.

No you are right, a chance to be witness to the Pats going 16-0 and two examples of the SEC's might in one weekend is indeed a once in a lifetime opportunity that should be cherished.

I have asked that questioned to myself a few times. After seeing Todd Boeckman this year I began to wonder with all those guys coming back
would it have made any difference. He would have had so much to look
at..........would he have been able to make the right call or decision. Its
our defense that has been the glue to hold us together, giving TB a chance to grow. Then again if all those above would have come back, would Ohio State be rated higher in the pre-season polls. Coach Tressel would have had his hands full trying to plan a new offensive pattern around Boeckman. Yes to me it would have been very interesting for sure.

WIN the B10, are you kidding? Saban would bring his band of awesomeness up into the Heartland and OWN the B10. They would be undefeated with the No. 1 offense and defense in the land playing against the feeble, unathletic plodders of the B10.

AHHHHHH HORSESHIT, I hope Saban steps in a big pile of Ralphie's buffalo shit on the sideline.

Big Ten??? IF you talk to a few Bama fans, it doesn't matter which conference they play in. In a few years they're going to dominate College Football. Losing to La. Monroe is just part of "the process".

Screw that.

Think about what the NC game last year would have looked like if Witner & Youbouty had been in the defensive backfield instead of Jamo or Santonio Holmes on offense.

The losses of Russell & Ginn wouldn't have been quite so devestating.

Then they can challenge the Klingons for control of the Galaxy.

Fucking DELUSIONAL 'Bama fans.

Oh, I've been reading the LSU boards. They see the MSU performance as an example of the defensive dominance of the SEC. They're saying that MSU beat a conference champions, daggummit!!

Point out to them that Purdue beat a conference champion and they belittle the opponent and the conference. Cant' argue with an SEC fan. There's only one side to any discussion and it's theirs.

Wasn't Big Daddy a sophomore when he left? Add him to the middle of the D on that list and then look at how impressive it would be!

:oh:

:io:

Yes, Big Daddy would have still been eligible for the '95 Dream Team that Jax' assembled there. That team would indeed have crushed scUM and everything else in their path.
