The guys I really want from in state are Martin, Clifford, Evege, Torrence, Saine, Gamble, Hines, Solomon Thomas.

Some guys to keep an eye on are Dailey, Hubbard, Morrow, Jefferson and D'Andrea.

I really really like Gamble, the game against St. Eds he was really impressive to say the least. Also Hubbard really impressed in that game too.

And Oliver was a must get and he started it off right, and I think Evege will follow quickly.

Emfinger has Sidney Glover listed, not Dan Herron. The "Herron" that he has listed is a strong safety from Texas. Dan could make it in there soon though.

Emfinger is a pretty good talent scout, and he rarely misses any big name Ohio kids...I guarantee he will have Herron in there before long.

Well, I'll just give my Top 10. It's extremely difficult to project OL prospects right now, so I'm gonna leave them out.

10. Gamble
9. Evege
8. Sturdivant (I know he's small, but he simply makes plays. A step slower than Lenix, but more of a football player than Freddie. Just my opinion.)
7. Morgan Williams
6. Hubbard
5. Dailey
4. Oliver
3. Hines
2. Torrence
1. Martin

I also really like Clifford, Eric Thomas and Jefferson.

I know alot of people are down on Kyle's production, but look at who he had ahead of him:
2004: Jacory Stone (EMU), Andre Evans (Buffalo), Derek McBryde (Kent State), Ray Fisher (Indiana this year, injured his senior year of 2005), Small, Jones.

2005: Small (OSU), Jones (Wisconsin), Witten (TE, UConn), plus the newcomers in Milligan (Marshall) and Adams (Purdue).

There's just not enough balls to go around. I think Kyle will make a mark this year.

Though it seems clear that Stephens will likely stay home, the rest of that list would make for a really, really great class core. (Though it may be that the class next year may be more offensively oriented than this one.

For those not familiar with the notation symbols ^ means that Max has seen them play in person. A * notation would indicate known academic issues. Which notation symbol I only mention in light of prior comments concerning Jerome Peterson - apparently Max isn't worried (yet) about that part of Jerome's profile.

The order of listed favorites for Oglesby is kind of interesting/encouraging.

Sturdivant may be to small to warrant that ranking. And Jefferson has to prove he can put it all together before he is going to be worthy of five stars.

very true...Gino is a heck of a football player, but his height may limit the number of big time programs that come calling.

I agree with the Paisan about Eric Thomas...I think he is going to be a good one. I am however one of those that will have to see Jefferson do it on the field before I am ready to annoint him as one of the top WR prospects in OH in 2007. Clifford will probably make most people's top 10s, as might David Arnold. The class is not looking great initially put like TSP said, that is a tough position to project. Weterer, Barry and Schepis look to be three of the top names on the line in '07.

I am still a little unsure on Thomas, I would jsut like to see what position he migh project as. I think he is a tweener right now, but he has time to grow.
