Wow, that would be an incredably stupid move.
When you are a top 5 pick, you GO.
Its just too much money, you're set for life with one signature.
Ill hope for his sake that he doesnt get hurt if he comes back.

I actually respect the fact that Leinart is weighing out his decision. The sexy move is obviously to the NFL, but he seems to love college ball. I guess when you have a good thing going at USC, why leave? But then again, he really doesn't have much to gain, but has a LOT that he can lose.

Well, since the discussion on this therad has changed ot Leinert's career, I will wiegh in w/my 2 cents.

What more does he really have to accomplish??? I am almost positive, if the 49ers go w/a QB... Leinert is the choice becuase of his USC roots (although Rodgers is from Cal as well). But he has a Heisman thropy and 2 NCs... I guess he just likes the college experience too much. But would he really risk the millions of dollars for 1 more year of college? Hopefully he doesn't get hurt.

I would completely agree if he was a mid-late first rounder, but not as a top 5 pick.
There is just wayyyy to much to lose, and absolutely nothing to gain.
