This Buckeye fan thinks it should have never come down to that play. We blew too many chances.

That one sounds right. We blew every single chance in the redzone by settling for field goals.

I don't get it. Are you complaining? It was a beautiful pass and catch. Even if there was no defense, it would have been a beautiful play. But it was in the biggest non-conference game all year, against an incredible Ohio State defense, in Columbus, in the closing minutes of the game, to put their team ahead, in their ONLY close game all season. No one wanted to see Salley make the play more than I did, but you have to admit that it was a truly impressive play.

I never said it wasn't an impressive play, I'm saying that had Salley been an inch closer to Sweed, it would've been broken up.

What about when they used our stadium to sing "the greatest fight song in the country?" Wasn't that an awesome compliment?

Texas fans sing the fight song at the end of the game, win or lose. Another interesting aspect of the play was that it was Sweed's first EVER touchdown catch.
He dropped a potential big one against OU the season before. We Texas fans consider it the biggest play of our season, and we completely mean that in a complimentary way. To go into Columbus at night, and win, is a huge, huge achievement. You guys really brought it, especially on defense, and we know that winning that game is something that doesn't happen very often. I'm sure you're all looking to returning the compliment next season in Austin. That winner of that game could be positioning themselves for the national crown.
