Celebrating Lee Corso's 250 headgear picks
On Oct. 5, 1996 in Columbus, Ohio -- as the Clinton-Dole presidential race headed down the homestretch, and right around the time when many of this year's freshman college football players were being born -- ESPN college football analyst Lee Corso threw on a Brutus Buckeye head at the end of "College GameDay" and predicted third-ranked Ohio State would beat No. 4 Penn State.
The crowd went nuts, the Bucks went on to win the game, and a tradition was born. In the 18 years since that show outside the Horseshoe, the lovable Corso has put on various headgear every week -- and Saturday's selection at West Virginia will mark the 250th time he's ended "GameDay" in grand fashion.

Dating to his first official headgear pick more than 18 years ago, Lee is 171-78 in headgear picks -- including 7-2 this season.
