Leapfrogged FSU and some BCS

Well, it didn't take the AP voters long to fix the FSU thing. We're up to 7 in both polls now, so whoever predicted that we'd pass FSU before the end of the year was right on. :)

Also, ESPN has some mock BCS numbers using the four computers that are out, and their math has us at #6 in BCS. Several of the teams ahead of us have byes this week as well, and the only tough game coming up for any of the top 7 is LSU at Georgia on Oct. 2.

Otherwise you have to look at Oct. 9 as the first "Showdown Saturday" or whatever alliterative moniker ESPN chooses to apply. On that afternoon, Cal is at USC, Tennessee is at Georgia, Texas is at Oklahoma, Wisconsin is at Ohio State, and LSU is at Florida.

If I could wish it, all bcs affiliated polls would commence after the 4th or 5th week of season.


Since I don't count, I look at polls in a serious vent...after our Whisky game.

I don't understand how WVU is so high in the polls. The only thing that I can think of is that everyone expects them to undefeated so they are ranking them higher.
