Leaf-blower, worth the investment?

I'd much rather blow than rake them. For me it is worth it. Another benefit with my blower is that you can reverse the action and vacuum (i.e. suck) the leaves out of ivy, bushes, and/or flowers into a bag.

we had a HUGE oak tree in our yard when we lived in Wisconsin... I had a gas powered blower and it was definatley worth it... after I cleaned the yard it was covered the next day with leaves again.

As script pointed out, the best use of a leaf blower may be its ability to suck leaves up outta tight areas.

The leaf blower I use to actually blow leaves is an 11HP Toro. Where I live, with 100 foot tall trees, it is a necessity.

What's wrong with having your own kids or the neighbor's kids rake the leaves? Builds character.

I received one as a gift years ago. I would use it once a year for leaves. It was a pain to use and I was happy when it died.
