LB Storm Klein (Official Thread)

Well Dryden it would be awesome if you could get some of that video uploaded. I would be very interested in taking look (even though i have seen the games live lol).

Licking Valley is a smallish school one of the smallest in Division 3. There have not been a whole of big name players out of Licking Valley. You could most likly count the number of Div 1 recruits on one hand. That being said as a Buckeye fan I hope that some of the scouts make their way out to Hanover at least one time this comming season because there may be a player or 2 that could help out the Bucks.

No I am not related to Storm but I am a grad of Licking Valley and have been to all of Storm's games in the last 2 years. I am also a Moderator on a site for Licking County sports that is now over 1000 members strong (www.lcsports.com). Out in the Valley i guess you could say everyone is family lol.
Good stuff! Quite a bit of info on that site. I particularly liked the photo on the main page of Storm shaking hands with Coach Tressel. :wink2:

BTW, in your original post you accidentally tagged your closing parenthesis in your link.

Great prospect, but there's no way Storm plays RB at a Div I school. The kid is 16 years old and already 6'2" and 220+, and he isn't getting any smaller over the next two years. He's a LB or DE all the way, and there's nothing wrong with that. He could be something special in Scarlet and Gray.

Granted I don't think he'll ever play a snap on offense in college, but I find it funny that some people (especially the usuals on the Scout boards) are questioning whether he is OSU-caliber. From what I have seen (which includes seeing him once in person) I think he is certainly worthy of an early offer (and the staff seems to like him by having him on campus every chance they get). And I agree with my esteemed colleague that people are going to love this kid. Reminds me a lot of Zordich in the '08 class as far as his attitude and toughness...another kid who I could see being a captain down the road.

I'll go one step further and compare him to Ross Homan as a LB... Good instincts and meets the ball carrier in a bad mood...
And I remember some people were questioning Homan's early offer because he was a small school kid too, much like they are doing with Storm...

Homan is a great comparison...

Better linebacker/football name, Storm Klein or A.J. Hawk?

I love the attitude of this kid and the fact that he is more than likely ours when we choose to offer. Having a few kids like that every year really take some of the anxiety and edge off of the annoyances of losing a Ben Martin or a Fred Davis at some point in the recruiting season. Kids like this in my opinion instantly gain extra love from the junkies and super faithful (like we BP'ers ) who are more in the know and are aware that the commitment was sealed before the offer was even extended. Homan is a great comparison for this reason as well, not just because of his play style.

Looking forward to seeing Storm destroying ball carriers for years to come in the S&G and let's not forget, the limitless cheesy comments that his "football player name" will yield from the worst of the worst (i.e. Danielson on a hay day).
