Contusive SC injuries can still be very serious...transection injuries are actually pretty rare. I hope it wasn’t compressive enough to damage the cord. Even a bruise can cause significant damage.

obviously, ryan's health is the paramount concern, but this also sucks because his salary was going to skyrocket in 2018 from $3m cap to $8.7m guaranteed.

Simply awful...unwatchable after the first viewing. Here's hoping the damage is not severe and a fully functional recovery is possible

The fact that he moved his left arm and had right hand grasp means cervical spine issues most likely eliminated.

Don't know who this guy is, but Bob Ley, John Fay, and Charles Robinson follow him, so that seems to make him a credible source for Steelers news.

I've seen spinal contusion and spinal concussion "reported", which are different. So still early without any official word, so need to be careful about what someone from the Steelers told the players, then how they comprehended that, and then told a reporter, who in turn turned it into a "tweet report"
