One of the fastest-rising prospects in the 2013 class? Plano Prestonwood's Mike Mitchell, a 6-4, 222-pound linebacker who's drawn offers and/or interest from schools like Ohio State, Oklahoma, Florida, Notre Dame, USC and Oregon.

And Texas. Longhorns receivers coach Darrell Wyatt recently visited Mitchell. Texas has not yet offered him a scholarship, but Mitchell said he hopes they continue to pursue him.

"The Longhorns are definitely a team I like," Mitchell said. "Texas is the school in our state. They're the big, key school. Everyone wants to play for Texas."

Besides Texas, Mitchell said he also likes TCU, Baylor and Texas A&M as well as Oregon, Ohio State, Vanderbilt and Mississippi.
