Drake was a five-sport letterman at Upper Arlington and Westerville Central (his parents moved to Westerville prior to his junior year) and with an impressive array of football accomplishments, including being named first-team all-Ohio and the Columbus Dispatch's 2013 metro player of the year ... these honors coming after a record-setting senior season when he threw for 2,454 yards and 26 touchdowns, and rushed for 640 yards and eight touchdowns and helped Westerville Central advance to the state playoffs with a 10-2 record ... also averaged over 39 yards per punt for coach John Magistro, who coached Buckeye great Joey Galloway once upon a time ...
