Gateway High School's Dorian Bell, ranked by most scouting services as the No. 1 junior in WPIAL football, will conduct a news conference this afternoon at which time he is expected to announce that he will attend Ohio State.
Bell, a 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker, will make his announcment at Gateway at 2 p.m. He has scholarship offers from more than 30 Division I colleges, including Pitt, Penn State, West Virginia, Michigan and Florida State..
He visited Ohio State this weekend for the Buckeyes' spring game.
Bell is ranked among the top 20 players in the country by most national scouting services.
Verbal commitments are non-binding. Bell will have to wait until next February before he signs a national letter of intent.

This year - not so much.

Then there's certainly no need to get excited over 5 star kids, right? It goes both ways.I don't know about that... PSU linebackers may have more stars but you can't look at position rankings alone when comparing the two. AJ Hawk and James Laurinaitis were both 3 star players coming out of high school according to Scout.com. Paul Posluszny and Dan Connor were great but I'll stick with our guys.
