The roar in the stadium when he is announced on Senior Day, November 22nd, 2008 will be so powerful that it will break the space-time continuum.

If you listen, you can already hear it. Or maybe that's just me.

That's what I am thinking. Next year should be a fun season.

This decision by JL just made it 0-1 for RR in his record against :osu:. JL you rock....I'm gonna help make that stadium real loud on Senior Day when you guy's names are called out!

The recruitment of Terrelle could make it 0-5!:biggrin::biggrin:

This is a joke right? RR's record was 0-3 the day he was hired, there won't be a 4th year :wink2: :oh:

"James Laurinaitis: Ohio State's Most Overrated LB Ever"
That guy must not remember Tom Cousineau....

JL's 18-tackle performance against LSU was kinda like Dan Connor's 18-tackle performance against OSU earlier in the season - lots of assists, lots of stops 5 yards down the field, few if any big plays.

JL is probably a bit overrated ... but only because he is so highly rated to begin with. When a player has so many accolades (2-time All American, Lombardi, Nagurski before his senior season even begins), everyone expects a Superman performance every game. JL didn't have one against LSU ... but he wasn't alone, as the DL got pushed around quite a bit, and LSU seemed to have an OL in JL's face on every play. An MLB looks a Hell of a lot better when his DT's are controlling the LOS.

12 of those 18 stops were credited as solo tackles... But the rest I agree with LJB...

That Blogger has a lot of time on his hands. I say we tell JL to forget coming back next year. He's way too bad to make any kind of impact on this team. If he's over-rated, we need 10 more like him. Sorry, I glanced over the blog enough to see what I needed. There's 10 other guys out there making plays. Lighten up on JL.

Are you freakin' kidding me?
Probably the best athlete we've ever had at middle linebacker.
The best block shedder I've ever seen. the guy was like a cat - you couldn't get him off his feet.

If you want over-rated look at Tovar and Marek.

Tovar was pretty damn good as a Buckeye too. Craig Powell was the bust from the early 90's (partly due to severe injuries)

Guys, just remember all the crap that was going on when this senior class chose to attend college and play for The Ohio State University. Think how much they had to "buy into" the coach and university to choose Ohio State in the middle of all that mess.

Thank you ESPiN. Thank you Mike Freeman. Thank you Mark May and Trev Alberts. Thanks to all of you wonderful "sports journalists" for showing us all just how silly the ratings game can be.

Without you, where would we have found such incredible loyalty as we witness in Laurinaitis, Jenkins, and the rest of this outstanding class?

And now? They are going to come back and embarrass you one more year.

Maybe nobody wants to be the one to say it, but I will...

The LSU game had some of the worst officiating in college football all year, JL and co. were being held numerous times and it was NEVER called!!! The same can be said for our OL. They were holding on atleast six or seven plays that I remember saying out loud: that's holding!:( and it was NEVER called.

So I guess the refs "just let em play" but that's BS either you call the penalties or you let the players determine how the game will be played. And that is exactly what happened the LSU players took the non-calls and used it to their advantage.

I can't be the only one that feels that our lack of discipline and stupid penalties may actually stem from the fact that the refs were not throwing flags. LSU took advantage of this fact and tOSU players were losing their cool and they retaliated. Frustration boils over and tOSU inexperience got the best of them. Were they stupid penalties? yes. Was there a better way to handle it? yes. But that doesn't mean James is over rated, not for one second!!

James is a great player and the game plan was to slow him up and if necessary hold the shit out of him. It's not hard to run right up the middle when the DL is getting pushed off the ball and your linebackers are being held. LSU played their gameplan to near perfection and tOSU was once again on the short end of another NC. I'm not sour about losing the game at all. I think the players were aggressive and when you play on that edge you're bound to make mistakes, tOSU just wasn't good enough to over come so many mistakes.
