Rolle gets visit from Tressel today

IMMOKALEE ? Midway through an interview on Monday, Immokalee football coach John Weber reached into his pocket.
He pulled out a cell phone, answered it and then walked around looking for his coveted senior linebacker, Brian Rolle. "That was Jim Tressel," Weber said with a smile, referring to the Ohio State football coach.
Actually, it wasn't. It was Ohio State's defensive coordinator, Tim Beckman, who will be flying in with Tressel today when they visit Immokalee to see Rolle.
The Buckeyes are one of four schools that remain on Rolle's list. He is also considering LSU, Wisconsin and Florida.
Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema, who has already received a verbal commitment from Immokalee cornerback Aaron Henry, is expected to visit Rolle on Wednesday.
Rolle said he is planning to take his last official visit to Florida on Jan. 12. The No. 1 Buckeyes and No. 2 Gators will play one another in the Tostitos BCS National Championship game on Jan. 8 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
"When you're 5-foot-11 and 215 pounds and you have the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the nation recruiting you, it tells you what kind of player this kid is," Weber said. "A lot of schools wouldn't have even looked at a kid who was 5-11, and that tells you the great motivation he has to play this game."
Rolle
Rolle led Immokalee with 125 tackles, anchoring a defense that set school records in points allowed (36) and shutouts (6). He also rushed for 902 yards and 17 touchdowns, which tied him with junior running back Carl Elie for the team lead.
The Indians finished the season 10-0, but had been placed on a one-year postseason ban by the Florida High School Athletic Association.
Rivals.com has Rolle listed at No. 27 on the position rankings for outside linebackers across the country. He is ranked No. 65 on the Florida Top 100 Prospect Rankings.
Rolle took an official visit to Columbus last month when Ohio State hosted Michigan.
"I look at it like 'wow, how many guys in the country have the head coach from Ohio State come in?' " Rolle said. "So, I look at that as a blessing to tell you the truth. They could easily say 'Well, Brian, we're kind of tied up right now. We need to schedule another time.'
"But they just set up to what's good for my convenience."
Rolle said he hasn't felt pressure from Ohio State coaches to commit early.
"They told me that they're going to wait for me to make my decision, even if it's Signing Day," he said.
National Signing Day is Feb. 7.
