My read is that for probated wills and the like cases, yes you can view the records, but that you cannot take the records from the courthouse. At least, that appears to be the MO in Butler County.

Then again I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV.

Why do you ask?

wills do become public record when they go through the probate process... one of the many advantages of trusts is that they are non-probatable if set up correctly (as is life insurance, and most other named beneficiary type of accounts, including most qualified/nonqualified plans)... so to answer your question wills=yes, trusts=no (generally speaking... there are many, many, many different types of trusts that each have advantages and disadvantages).

I deal with estate planning issues (among other things) on a daily basis... I am not however an attorney... talk to an attorney to find out what will best meet your needs...

Say you have a problem neighbor, next door neighbor. Who, is under the paranoid misconception that you and your wife are conspiring with his soon to be ex wife against him.

He is beyond a shadow of a doubt convinced that you, and or your wife are keeping tabs on
A. when he comes and goes
B. Who comes and goes to his house.
C. calling the cops on his teenage daughter when he is not there

He has,

A. Cursed me out in the middle of the street while I am taking the trash to the curb.
B. Come to my door and offered to have his sister come and take care of my wife
C. Come to the door and acused my wife and I of all of the above.

We live in close enough proximity that a restraining order I doubt would be much good (about 15 yds from the prop line to his front door). What the fuck can I do, it's almost imposible not to run into him. That said I shouldn't have to deal with that shit just because I am in front of my own house.

Today he cursed me out for calling the cops on his kids, last night the cops did come. I didn't call them, the lady down the street did, on my kids too. One or more of the kids in the neighborhood got in her flower beds or somethings so she called the cops on all of them, my kids as well. I should have known when the cop came to my door that I would have to hear about it the next day...

As long as you keep away from her gnomes I don't think he has a case.

no, not directly, just the insinuation with the wife.

Read this - Link If you think he's done anything to qualify you could file a complaint. Or, you could just tell him to knock it the fuck off or you will consider doing so (which is probably where I'd start - though it sounds like the chances of reasoning are slim).

AS for him just yelling for the sake of yelling... Not sure there's a whole lot you can do about that, other than telling him you're tired of it.

Frankly, I'd try resolving this in any way I could without the involvement of 3rd parties first, since calling the cops or any some such is just gonna piss half wit off even more.
