Bob Weir. I saw 24 Grateful Dead shows and 4 Dead & Co shows. I've got over 500 hours of live Dead on cd and tape. It was always more about the live shows. He meant so much to my life over these last 35 years. Definitely had a distinctive style on rhythm guitar. There was never anyone like them, never will be again. RIP

This one hits hard. After countless years and many shows, the end of an era. Bill and Mickey are still with us but the big three are gone. Good thing the band(s) allowed taping, so the catalog will live on long after we are gone. My 37 and 35 year old boys were carted off as infants, toddlers and adults to dead shows and all the post Jerry bands, and they are as sad as I am. God speed Bobby. What a long strange trip it has been.

What I always respected about the dead was that they didn't wear costumes or have some specific look or gimmick, they just jammed.
