Last concert you saw?

Saw the Decembrists there a couple of years ago. The Mission is a popular venue here. And yes, I’ve lived in Denver since 1995.

I was amazed how that room sounds. Streetlight is 1 guitar, 1 bass, 1 drummer, 2-3 saxophones, 1 trombone and 1 trumpet. In a crap room (I’m looking at you Aragon Ballroom in Chicago), it just turns in to a mush of sound. The Mission was loud but every instrument was clear as a bell. I’m a fan (of the room).

Jack Johnson. Solid show. I wish he played smaller venues, but he packs them in at larger ones so I can't fault the guy.

Squeeze and Adam Ant were great! Even caught the last couple of songs from Haircut 100 and they sounded solid.

Nothing like seeing these bands from back in the day.

A few weeks ago my wife went to see Toto with The Romantics and Christopher Cross opening. She saw someone in line with a Christoper Cross shirt and thought "how cute, he has a fan". Turns out he had lots of fans, after his set half of the place emptied out.

Weird fact .... I and some frat brothers would work as stage hands / loadout crew at concerts in Cincy. In 1981 or 82 we did the Adam Ant concert. Stood right next to him. He was tiny. The gigs were great. Made good cash.
