There's been an arrest in the Monday afternoon shooting of a teenager near Simmons Elementary in North Las Vegas.
Police say they have a 16-year-old boy in custody for shooting a fellow Legacy High School classmate as she got off her school bus. The victim was shot in the leg.
Police say several witnesses came forward to help with the investigation which led to Tuesday's arrest. They say right now the teen is not being charged as an adult. Right now the teen is being charged with battery with a deadly weapon.
The victim, a 14 or 15-year old, is recovering and is said to be okay.
