Its not like Cal is smoking BYU though, despite the Hippie label (and despite a huge number of penalties given up by BYU in the first half - missionary boys playing rough). Really, I am surprised that Cal hasn't put a 2 TD + 1 FG lead up on the team in white. The one completely failed drive Cal had was keyed by 3 successive pass play calls - which to my eyes seems like it goes against their intrinsic strength.
