ESPN has reported that UT is looking into the phone calls made to guys on campus right after Kiffin resigned.

I can't find a link, it was on ESPNews.

Two situations would be a problem for Kiffin:

1) If Orgeron and/or Kiffin used UT phones after they resigned

2) If UT early enrollees were on campus and called after midnight on the evening Kiffin was leaving town, that would be a recruiting violation, since at 12:01 a.m. on the first day of classes any enrolled student on campus has 'matriculated'.

And even if they didn't, they can ask the new enrollees to see their phone records to check incoming calls for the time period in question.

As long as they haven't been doing anything illegal or calling 900 numbers this month, they should be willing to have those looked at.

Edit - per the Knoxville News Sentinel, UT will also be checking e-mails, etc., to see if any employees forwarded any recruiting info to Orgeron and/or Kiffin.
