No, Lane Kiffin, You Can't Do That Either
In case you hadn't noticed, this is the year of the Secondary Violation in the SEC, prevalent to the point that they may as well rename the conference the SVC (you can probably guess what that stands for).
Leading the charge against the enormous NCAA rule book is Lane Kiffin, Tennessee's horror show of a new coach. Long before even coaching a single game, Kiffin has thrust himself and his team into the spotlight with a multitude of unfortunate statements, team defections, and recruiting violations.
ESPN's Outside the Lines decided to take a look at the (seemingly) troubled program, with Wendi Nix asking tough questions on par with, "If you're awesome, could you just make eye contact with me?" and, "If I promise not to ask any follow-up questions, will you tell everyone the violations are no big deal?"
All in all, it was a positive development for Tennessee's image, as there's no way Kiffin could break any rules during a simple interv--oh my god you must be kidding:
Lane Kiffin's interview with ESPN's "Outside the Lines" could land the University of Tennessee another secondary violation.
During the piece aired Sunday morning, Kiffin is seen talking with two recruits in his office. In the NCAA rule book, it states that media members cannot observe recruiting contact by coaches.
