Yeah, right. Let's see how much it helps you when you become the next media punching bag. Certain media outlets can really do wonders for your recruiting, and national reputation, when they choose to "help" you. :wink2:

For the players that we need to recruit that are freshmen, sophomores and juniors that are seeing our colors and our logos, it helps us out tremendously down the road.

Well we never lack for a sense of moral superiority when referring to our Southern brothers. My own prejudice would lead me to state, totally unsupported by any kind of evidence, that with the notable exception of Vandy and your alma mater, the overall academic excellence of the Big 10 schools far exceeds that of the SEC. That leads me to the conclusion that SEC teams can recruit kids that the Big 10 can't.

I do know this: the Big 10 is one of the few conferences whose chain of command begins with the presidents of the member schools and not the collective ADs.

But frankly, we all know this: You don't have to be a Rhoades Scholar, or even approach the admission standards for a selective school, if you can rush for thousand or rain threes from the sideline. That's the College Athletics Code of Ethics.

Well, neither one will be long remembered for their lofty ethical behavior. I recall the head of the Army's JAG school telling a class of officers, "If you want to work in an ethical manner and environment, be sure you find an ethical boss." LK picked his mentor.

When the score up in the corner changes from 42-0 to 49-0 in the 2nd quarter, the viewers eyes will be drawn to that little orange T. Think of the exposure you're going to be giving them. Fools.
