Because the reference to '14-15 CFP OSU-Bama would be too self-aware?
"Hopefully we give the ball to Henry more than we did (last year)."
Please stay at Alabama, for all our sakes, Laney.
Something that has been interesting at Bama in the Saban era is that he is uninterested in riding the hot hand. He wants consistent, season long performance. I think Saban believes that a hot hand thst hasn't had much playing time is too risky (fumble the ball, commit a penalty) due to a lack of experience.

Anyway, people talk about Saban and Freshwater being an odd pair, but Joey's philosophy is to simply get the ball into the hands of the best player. Last year it was Cooper (lots of throws), this year it's Henry (lots of runs).

Kiffin was never going to keep feeding Henry last year. I have a feeling this style will end up costing Bama another big game before he leaves.

I'm not sure Calvin Ridley isn't actually your best player on offense.

Henry proved himself to be a big, strong workhorse of a back. But he's no superstar. Reminds me a lot of Ron Dayne.

I think Calvin Ridley is the most talented. He just needs some more experience. Sometimes he runs the wrong routes and sometimes he has made some poorly timed drops. Nobody has stopped Henry, yet.

I also don't necessarily trust Coker to get the ball to Ridley, even though his completion percentage is extremely high over the last few games.

In both bowl games that Henry was underutilized in Bama losses, Henry was not yet established. That's what I was referencing a couple of posts ago. Bama is very risk averse.
He was near impossible to bring down short of 5 yards per carry against us. If that's how Kiffin and Saban operate on offense.....not seeing that something is working and instead acting like Ohio State is the average of every other team you played all year....then how the shit are you in the playoffs for a second year?

They don't care about five or six good runs. They want to see somebody look good in practice for a while, then ease them in to games. It drives me nuts.

Lane Baby is the epitome of the "Peter Principal" at work. He was promoted to HC, which is one step beyond his level of competence. As a OC, he seems to be doing well, but arguments with your HC and meal ticket are probably not the best indication of longevity at that position. With the material that he has on hand, Forrest Gump could return to his alma mater and do a creditable job as OC. So it is with Lame Kitten. He ran two programs into the ground (Tennecheat and Spoiled Children), and left. Any vcash bets whether the new Alabama HC keeps Lame when Nick Satan retires or tries to go to the pros again? At least Satan has the class/good sense to not throw darts at Urban for tOSU not being in playoffs again. Go Bucks

I can imagine. I think if they gave Henry the ball more last year, you'd be defending a title right now.
