I disagree that LB gets an unfair treatment from the media. The reason the media has been so 'harsh' on him and not players like Kobe, Wade, Arenas is that...
1. Kobe has rings on his finger
2. Wade wasn't really considered an MVP candidate and he was a 'steal' in the draft not the number 1 pick.
3. Arenas wasn't mentioned in the MVP race. When you get mentioned in the MVP race as a number 1 pick and that young without having a ring on your finger, you're going to be put under the microscope. It also comes from having so many endorsements and such. Lebron puts himself in the media's face (not that, that is bad) but it does raise peoples expectations of him.

If James wins a ring this year, I guarantee he will receive a star treatment; much better then what Kobe is getting.. as I think they've been very harsh on his 'selfish' play all season.

More than once they mentioned the fact that Kobe's only point in the second half was a free throw for an illegal defense.

He just doesn't know how to make his team better.

Which is why I feel Nash is much more deserving of the MVP than Kobe. The award is not for the the best athlete but for the most valuable. Tell me again how valuable Kobe was after that rediculious 2nd half. He basically quit and mailed in the 2nd half, which is probably why Jackson pulled him so early in the 4th.

And it was nice to see Phil Jackson finally lose in the first round, and finally lose a series in which his team had a lead. I still don't understand why he wanted to come back to coach that team. I guess the so-called Zen master has quite an ego himself, enjoying the spotlight in la-la-land.

I don't understand the logic of this at all. He should have quit his life passion because he was already hugely successful? Or he should have turned down the best paying opportunity because he might not be as successful in regards to wins and losses? IMO, he did a phenomenal coaching job this year in getting the Lakers as far as he did. If Brown keeps improving and they pick up a legitimate pg, they're going to be a good ballclub.

Sorry about the confusion for using your quote in the first paragraph. Thought your quote spelled out exactly why Kobe shouldn't have been a MVP.

As for Phil and the Lakers this year, I didn't think there were too many people besides yourself that thought they would win 45 games much less make the playoffs.
