Lakers vs Magic - Game 2

It has been said that NBA refs make calls based on the back of the jersey, rather than the front of it. Tonight is a classic example of that philosophy.

Uhh.. why do the Magic get the ball out of bounds at 1/4 court?

The Lakers called a TO and had to take it out on their end.

That was the Lakers own decision. :wink2:

Looked like Gasol got away with his hand hitting the rim on that last shot in regulation when the ball was coming off the board. He just glanced it, and I really don't expect to see them make a call in a tie game in that situation, but it technically could have been ruled goaltending.

I noticed that, but Howard blocked a Gasol shot in the first quarter by putting his arm through the basket with no call. It balances out.

2 non-fouls given to Kobe at the end of the fourth really set that gtame up for the Lakers. Not a conspiracy theorist, but those points become critical at the end of a game. Pietrus git called for a foul for standing staright up, making no contact, and letting Dwight come over and pound the ball. Hedo also got snagged for a BS call in the fourth on Kobe.

I don't blame the game on officials, but that shit is frustrating to watch. I know Orlando felt they got hosed on a lot of LeBron calls, but for the ost part, there was at least some body contact. Kobe doesn't even get touched, and fouls are called if he just alters his release point. Very nice advantage to have down the stretch....
