Lakers-Rockets Second Round

A little chippiness b/w Scola & two Lakers at one end. All three get T'd up.

Next play at the other end, Derek Fisher lays out Scola with a shoulder to the chest. Total cheap shot - it's a Flagrant 2 and he's gone. Doug Collins calling the game lauds him for his "toughness". I have all kinds of respect for Fisher, but let's not confuse what he just did with anything virtuous.

There's the Ron Artest I remember! Buh-bye! Kobe did tag him under the hoop - Kobe played it smooth and Artest lost his head. If I'm facing a player like Artest or Wallace, I'd pull that [censored] everytime - you just know they don't have the restraint to keep from doing something stupid in response.

Oh - and Von Wafer got sent to the showers for mouthing off to Adelman.

The Rockets have [censored]ed away a lot of good chances in the second half. It's not the end of the world for them, but they could've really put the Lakers on the ropes.

If anybody has a good reason to be pissed it's Yao Ming. In a game full of blatant fouls called and uncalled, he's been relegated to the bench on mostly nickel & dime stuff.

the funniest part of the whole Artest/Kobe saga is that Artest was called for the foul.

If I'm Kobe, I'm just running around bowing people up and fouling them out of the game. Why not?

No, the funniest part of the saga was what Artest said to Kobe when he got in his face. Paraphrasing "Don't you know I'm Ron Artest". That cracked me up. His reputation got him tossed. He didn't deserve to get tossed.

I'm glad the series is moving back to Houston, those late games suck ass.
