I haven't been following the women's team throughout the season, but the announcers mentioned that OSU's only two losses, to Purdue and LSU, came when Allen wasn't starting at the point. I'm not sure if she was hurt, or just not starting, but they said they are 19-0 when Allen starts at the point.
If she was injured, then that's the best explanation for losing games.
ps. Davenport could probably beat most women's DI bball teams by herself. She must bring down the opposing team's shooting by 10%.

Allen wouldn't have helped one bit. LSU is far, far more athletic than the Buckeyes and totally dominated every phase of the game.
If they meet in the Tournament, it may be a different story, but the first game LSU was on a different level than tOSU. The center for LSU completely dominated Davenport, if that tells you anything.

But was Hoskins wearing "rec-specs" back then? I refuse to believe that LSU dominated OSU in shooting from outside the arc unless they have a player or two wearing rec-specs themselves.

Hold on there partner. We got blown out because we couldn't shoot the basketball into the ocean if we wanted too. I haven't watched much women's b-ball but that game would have been close if we could have actually made a basket.
