The TV announcers just gave Debbie Merrill some props for being willing to be a role player at tOSU, after being an honarable mention All-America at Cincy that averaged 18 points and 8 rebounds. And then she gets an offensive rebound, on the next position hits a three, and then gets an assist. She's really shined with Davenport on the bench for about the last 10 minutes.
Halftime 32-17.
Coach Foster said he liked the team's energy in the first half, and that they just needed to space the floor on offense to allow the team's many weapons to be effective in the second half.
He knows how to coach - when it was 22-17, I wanted to have Davenport put back in. He keeps her on the bench and they finished the half on a 10-0 run. :tongue2:

They really are fundamentally very good. Davenport breaks down sometimes offensively in the post but that is because she is so physically dominant. That usually works out ok.
