If you want full disclosure truthiness, I'd say the football game threads are typically dispersed with conversations about strategy, play-calling, players, etc... Generally speaking, the people on this forum are more knowledgeable football fans than they are basketball fans, so there's a deeper understanding of what we're all watching.

However, if we're just all being smartasses... then the only difference is that in football threads we usually get the opportunity to see close calls reviewed ad nauseam, so the folks who are crying foul can either be justified or disproved.
