Kudos to this principal!!

seriously grad....how have you not been sued to death? my pathetic excuse for a school wouldve fired you long ago. of course....you have to meet the qualifying firing standards. you have to be a good teacher who cares about the kids, somebody who is not only active in school but also the community, and you have to have done something to make some whiny bitch go tell their daddy that you upset their feelings.

poof....youre gone.

i hate my fucking school district.

I've had a few parent meetings over the years, but all that comes of it is the parent realizing the kid's story was BS or them saying they want me to follow the school discipline plan with their child....either way works for me. I'm always upfront in the beginning of the school year with the kids and the parents...if they have a problem with it...they express it then. After a week or so, my classroom is potty-trained.

Besides the location, I think I would be glad to have you teach my kids.
I am pretty sure STX would do a good job also.
Thanks for doing a service that is needed but not appreciated as it should be.

I will be going to my youngest one's open house tonight. We are very involved with our kids and the school.

By the way my kids have to wear uniforms. That prevents a lot of ths type stupidity. I imagine you could still go buy oversized Khakis but they would still get sent home.

osugrad21,

I agree about the student BS. Everytime I've had a parent confront me about something I've done, EVERYTIME, and I mean EVERYTIME, it turned out the student lied to their parent. And the parent was left with egg on their face.

I have no problem wanting to believe your child but a lot of these parents are pretty freaking naive.

My most recent problem is parents saying they can't have their child serve after school detentions b/c it's INCONVENIENT for their work schedules. Give me a flipping break!!

Dentention is supposed to be inconvenient! I'm not going to sacrifice my lunch b/c their kid is an a-hole!!

I need that 30 mins. out of my room to keep my sanity rather than babysitting their undisciplined child!
