Krav Maga?

Anyone tried/practice Krav Maga? I've just started and am fired up about it so far. For someone with absolutely zero martial arts experience (ill-advised fisticuffs and rugby dust-ups notwithstanding) it has been surprisingly accessible. Some of it is really kicking my arse, though. Pointers, suggestions (both serious and, well, classic BP) are welcome.

I have a friend who's been doing Krav for a few years now. He loves it. No pointers, since I don't do it myself... but... if you pay attention in class and learn the moves, you'll be kicking ass in no time. lol

I'd love to find a Krav Maga studio, but they're not that readily accessible. I've always liked the idea of it being a functional self-defense.

Here in Atlanta I'm paying $79/mth for unlimited classes. That's a little misleading, though, because they only offer something like 26 classes a month. Of course, that's probably more than twice the number I'll do.
