The KoRN unplugged stuff is interesting, they are playing it on the radio non-stop here in SoCal.

They will do anything now to capitalize on their old music catelog. They are out of ideas and are trying cash in while they can. Re-issues, live CD's, greatest hits and now un-plugged. Cha-ching.

Alice in Chains unplugged was pretty great, and Nirvana was pretty good, too. It's the quality of the band, not the medium, IMO, that determines the quality of the effort.

Ironically, their respective Unplugged albums where each among their best recordings.

It also has a lot to do with your music being able to convert to accoustic properly. Alice in Chains didn't play "Man in the Box" just like Nirvana avoided "Smells like Teen Spirit", because they knew those songs wouldn't translate very well, a concept completely oblivious to Korn apparently.

Unplugged was nothing new to AIC. They released two acoustic EP's: "Sap" and "Jar of Flies" before the unplugged concert. "Jar of Flies" is amazing.
