So why have we not closed this thread pending some kind of 180-degree turn-around in his affections or intentions?
Because he still says he has a top 6 and only 3 were discussed. Longshot? Yes. Impossible? No.

The SchoolSports Rivalry Tour presented by Old Spice rolled into California and Illinois this past weekend. In California, De La Salle (Concord) had high hopes of upsetting Mission Viejo, the No. 1 ranked team in the SchoolSports.com National Top 25. And for three quarters, the Spartans looked like they were on their way. But Mission Viejo rallied from a 26-22 fourth-quarter deficit with 14 unanswered points to win, 36-26, and retain its top spot in the national rankings.
De La Salle sophomore quarterback Mike MacGillivray spearheaded the Spartans’ late lead with a 10-yard touchdown pass to senior Vince Colvis and a 1-yard touchdown run.
But with the Spartans leading 23-16 in the third quarter, Mission Viejo senior cornerback Marcus North picked off a MacGillivray pass and returned it 46 yards for a score to cut the lead to 23-22 (Mission Viejo failed on the extra point attempt). De La Salle responded with a 27-yard field goal from Colvis to make it 26-22, but junior Keegan Gogerty and senior Chane Moline each ran for touchdowns in the fourth quarter to give Mission Viejo the win.
Moline, who’s rated the nation’s No. 94 overall recruit in the Class of 2006 by SchoolSports.com, ran for 176 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries.

no biggy, I think Cumberland has huge upside---if only we would get those grades up! Cumberland reminds me of the impact TEs Georgia always seems to have...
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) -- Notre Dame reserve tight end Konrad Reuland has decided to leave school.
"After meeting with Konrad Reuland on Sunday, he has decided he will leave the team and withdraw from Notre Dame," coach Charlie Weis said. "I appreciate all Konrad has done for Notre Dame and I wish him nothing but the best."
Konrad Reuland, the former All-America tight end from Mission Viejo High, has been granted a release from his scholarship at Notre Dame and will transfer to another school.
....
Ralf Reuland, his father, said that UCLA is a possible destination for the 6-foot-6 tight end and that he is hoping to have reached a decision on his transfer by the weekend. ''We want to do something fairly quickly to get into school,'' he said. ''You don't want to be out of school.''
Under Coach Charlie Weis Notre Dame has not released transfers to schools that appear on its schedule during the balance of the player's career, but a home-and-home series with UCLA ends this season.
