Kicking Tee Shrinking for 2006

I don't get it.

Two-Inch Tee would be something like this, which is the one most kickers in HS and college like using. Including Nugent and Huston.

Now this is one of the more "standard" ones you'll see. This is your "generic" orange tee.

The One-Inch tee would just be a inch shorter. Giving the ball less "raise" off the ground on kickoffs.

whered you read this oh8ch?

CFN. Here is the reference.

And finally, a rule change that will fly under the radar but will make a big impact involves the kicking game. The height of the kicking tee has been reduced to one inch meaning more big returns and better overall field position for the return teams. Expect this to play a really big role late in games when a team needs to go on a final scoring drive.

I HATE THAT TEE

I kicked with it one time in a HS JV game. For some reason our coach didn't bring one of the orange tees. And brought that clonker of a tee. The thing weighs like 5 lbs and I hit my toe on it. I got like half of the ball and half of the tee. The tee didn't give much, it hurt.

Other tee's if I hit my foot on them they simply get kicked out of the way. Not that muther f-er. Moved at the most, 2 inches.

I still think the red tee is the best. But when I would use it, I would turn it upside down. It seemed like I got a better kick from it.
