Right me too… we need Bey, Boyd and Henry to be contributors. That can’t happen unless they’re rolled in. So far they’ve been included so that’s a great sign. That's how I wish we would do it instead of putting the entire 2nd and 3rd string in
I feel like every field goal is a pressure kick on this team at the moment. Kick if from 75… on first down, if you want.I don't think Connor Hawkins will get much practice kicking pressure field goals today.
They were giving plays away vs Texas and I could tell it from the 2nd quarter on. Better teams are catching on to what we're doing.Right me too… we need Bey, Boyd and Henry to be contributors. That can’t happen unless they’re rolled in. So far they’ve been included so that’s a great sign.
Couple things with that last touchdown drive.
1. It was 1v1 for JJ on second down. That needs to be a check for a throw to JJ. That’s a win for the opposing team getting to defense JJ 1 on 1 without a throw to him.
2. Van Sickle has to be careful. He was a full half yard behind the rest of the OL. He ended up pulling so it was obvious what he was going to do.
No. Kent State was never going to be a test. But it was going to see whether the team came out lethargic, or ready to play. We've seen them play down in the past plenty of times, and they could have easily game out sluggish and "whoa is me", but they didn't, they came out ready to play, and it's good to see.Lol, there was no way this team was going to 'come out slow' against KSU. This is no test, and no gauge. We can pretend it is, but it isn't in any way a test.
It’s remarkable. The fact is this team/program goes as far as the QB takes them. Howard managed to move the chains and was a good enough thrower to make defense pay. Sayin has yet to make a great team pay. He is elite except against great competition. But he is still a work in progress.Damn, 15 draft picks off this Defense in 2 years and we only start 11!
