We were watching something last night breaking down Easy Company's first attack on D Day (from Band of Brothers fame). It was a lot more detail than the mini-series and included their gear and the flight over. They intermixed information on the beach assault too. My wife and I were trying to figure out which you would prefer - be part of the beach landing or dropped behind enemy lines.

I'm floored not only with what they achieved but also when I consider how old these soldiers were. Amazing stuff.
