Joseph Barksdale (OL Arizona Cardinals)

either Clausen isn't 6'3" like its reported or Barksdale is 6'6". Clausen looks really small to me in that pic.

Clausens measurables are exaggerated, Barksdale attended the AA combine, so his are probably right.

I wonder if Barksdale was invited to OSU, but chose the ND Spring Game, or wasnt invited. Either way, didnt sound like he had a great time anyway.

So is that Weis' visit done with? It seems like I keep reading that "Coach Weis stopped in at my school to see me" or "I got a visit from Coach Weis" from kids like Oglesby and Clausen and Barksdale.

I though visits by head coaches were at a premium and that only so many are allowed. Or is that home visits I'm thinking of?

Film from the Nike Combine.

I think Barksdale is our biggest recruit left, even ahead of Martin. While Martin is an amazing player that I would love to see in Columbus, defensive end is not a need as much as defensive tackle.

At defensive end we already have these players:

Lawrence Wilson 6'6" 270 lbs. Sophomore
Vernon Gholston 6'4" 260 lbs. Sophomore
Alex Barrow 6'4" 255 lbs. Sophomore
Ryan Williams 6'6" 245 lbs. Freshman
Doug Worthington 6'7" 260 lbs. Freshman
Robert Rose 6'4" 250 lbs. Freshman

Of course the last two are coming off of serious injuries, but thats still a lot of depth.

Now this is who we have at defensive tackle:

Nader Abdallah 6'5" 300 lbs. Sophomore
Todd Delinger 6'3" 290 lbs. Freshman
Dexter Larimore 6'3" 270 lbs. Freshman

We cant even field a two deep right now. Thats why Barksdale is the most important player we have left.

and the good news is that it sounds like we are sitting really good with him. even the UM fans are saying he is an OSU lean. He probably sees the depth chart and the chance to come in and make an early impact at one of the premiere schools for defensive talent. the draft should of only helped our chances.
